Dunedin Netball Board Chair Jono Bredin and Steel and Southern Club Player Gina Crampton were awarded prestigious awards at the Inaugural New Zealand Netball Awards on Wednesday the 18th of November.

Jono was awarded the New Zealand ANZ Championship Umpire of the Year and Gina the Aspiring Silver Fern Award.

Both Jono and Gina thoroughly deserve both their awards. Jono has been at the top of his game (and NZ ANZ rankings) for some time and continues to push for a higher level in his umpiring. Gina has grown in confidence and capability in each game she has taken the court for the Steel, particularly in 2015. As a result she has been selected in the NNZ high performance programme and NZA team.

Well done Jono and Gina - keep up the good work and enjoying netball!!
